A Place with History & Charm
The Lodge at Service Creek offers guests a unique and comfortable lodging experience. This beautiful home boasts of simple charm in a lovely setting. It was originally known as “Tilly’s Boarding House” and catered to folks traveling in the early 1920’s.

It is one of three buildings on the property dating back to the early 1900’s. These buildings also include the original Post Office of Service Creek and the barn, used when Service Creek was a stagecoach stop.

The two story building is handcrafted and has been lovingly restored in such a way that it’s original alluring appeal has been maintained. It is quaint and cozy, offering guests plenty of room to stretch out, relax and enjoy themselves. With two gorgeous decks, a wrap around porch, a community kitchen and a common room, The Lodge at Service Creek is the perfect location to serve as a base camp to explore what the John Day Basin has to offer:

This is the perfect place for family and/or business retreats. The entire Lodge* is available for $500/night! Up to 15 people can be accommodated and it is air conditioned. For more information about renting the entire lodge for events, please contact us.
*The Lodge Host has a room in the Lodge and will continue to reside there even when the entire Lodge is rented out.

The Moose Room

Moose Room Bath

Located on the first level, this room has private access to an outside porch with sitting areas. Accommodations include a king sized bed and separate private bathroom. This room is perfect for adventurous couples. Maximum Occupancy: 2 $98.00 per night

The Fish Room

Grab your favorite rod and secret lure! Fishermen and women of all ages will be inspired to catch small mouth bass by the dozens and reel in the elusive steelhead when staying in this room. Located on the top (second) level. Accommodations include a full size bed and private bathroom located inside the room. This room is perfect for fishing fanatics. Maximum Occupancy: 2 $92.00 per night

The Sunflower Room

The Sunflower Room Bath

This private room offers a beautiful view of the majestic ridge of rim rock that serves as a backdrop to the grounds of Service Creek. Perfect for the solo traveler seeking to get away from the hustle and bustle or for an adventurous couple. Located on the second floor of the lodge, this room has access to an outdoor deck with sitting areas. Accommodations include a queen size bed and a separate private bathroom. Maximum Occupancy: 2 $92.00 per night

The Horse Room

The Horse Room Bath

This room can accommodate up to four people and includes a private bathroom located inside the room. Located on the top (second) level. Accommodations include a queen size bed and twin bunk beds. This room is perfect for families and people who just need some space. Maximum Occupancy: 4 $118.00 per night

The Cowboy Room

This family favorite is sure to bring out the old west in everyone. This room captures your inner-pioneer with rustic furniture and modern touches. Located on the top (second) level. Accommodations include a queen size bed and bunk beds that include one full size bed and one twin size bed. This room can accommodate up to five people and includes a private bathroom located inside the room. This room is perfect for families and/or people who play nicely together. Maximum Occupancy: 5 $128.00 per night

Lodging Policies

Payment and Cancellation Policy

A valid credit card will be required to make a reservation. A $40.00 deposit per room, per night, is due at the time of the reservation in order to secure the accommodation and is NON-REFUNDABLE. Whole house reservations require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 1/2 the total rental fee. Cancellations less than thirty (30) calendar days during the months of May through July, will require the full amount be paid. No refunds will be issued for cancellations less than thirty (30) calendar days of the reservation. Cancellation policy applies to whole house and individual room reservations. Absolutely no cooking or food preparation is allowed in kitchen unless it is a whole house reservation.

 

Additional People

Due to fire regulations the Service Creek Lodge rooms cannot exceed the maximum occupancy. For more information, please contact the management staff at Service Creek Stage Stop.

 

Pet Policy

We welcome all members of your family, including your pets. Our lodge has 2 pet friendly rooms. We require a deposit of $100 per pet and 50% of that deposit is refundable.

 

No Smoking Policy

Thank You For Not Smoking. The Lodge at Service Creek is a nonsmoking facility. Smoking outside in designated areas only. If you smoke inside the Lodge at Service Creek, your credit card will be charged an additional cleaning fee of $250. Please respect our facility and guests by not smoking in your room. We pride ourselves in providing the cleanest, freshest rooms possible to all of our guests. Thank you for your help in maintaining this goal by not smoking indoors at our facilities.

 

Relaxation Policy

Service Creek is the perfect place to unwind. There is no cell phone coverage in the area and the Lodge does not offer WiFi so it is the perfect place to go “off the grid” for a while.

Check In and Check Out Information

Lodge guests may check in at 3:00 PM. Check in at the Service Creek Restaurant. Check out time is at 11:00 AM.

Thank you for being courteous to the guests preceding and following you by honoring the check-in/check-out times. Late departures are subject to an additional night’s charge unless a later check-out time has been authorized by management. Check out at the Service Creek Restaurant.

 

Trash Service Fee

Service Creek is responsible for performing all sanitation services for the premises. (In other words, we have to haul all our trash to the nearest garbage dump that is 40 miles round trip.) Excess garbage will result in additional fees to cover the cost of transportation and disposal.
